HOT CARS – BMW

1957 BMW Isetta
Because of its egg shape and bubble-like windows, it became known as
a bubble car. The BMW “Little Iso” was the world’s first mass-
production 3-Liters/100km car. The Isetta caused a sensation when
it was introduced to the motoring press in Turin in November 1953.
2.29 m (7.5 ft) long and 1.37 m (4.5 ft) wide it was seen by BMW as
filling a gap between their motorcycle range and the luxury 501
models. The quirky little Motocoupe as it was called by BMW, became
the dream of the workingman, and by November 1955, ten thousand
had been built.
