Hôtel Thoumieux is more than just a hotel. It’s also a restaurant.
The kitchen is lead by chef Jean-François Piège, one of the two or three
wittiest chefs working in Paris right now. But it doesn’t look anything like
a restaurant, recalling instead a vintage private gaming room or business-
class lounge with cushy ’60s-style armchairs, banquettes with
panther-print pillows, low lighting and employees wearing groovy black
jackets and jeans.
